Scriptcloud: Getting Started in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: Get Registered and Upload a Script
- Click Register.
- Complete and submit the user registration form.
- Check the email account you registered for your site login and password.
- Login using your login and password.
- Click Change Password under MANAGE MY ACCOUNT to change and save your password to something you prefer.
- Click Logout tab (in top menu) and Login again to use your new password.
- Click Upload new script under GET STARTED (in left menu)
- Complete the form and use the browse button to locate a script text (.txt) file on your local PC then click the Upload button to upload your script.
- Click My scripts under MANAGE MY LIBRARY
- You should see your newly uploaded script listed in the table.
- Click edit to change the data you entered about the script if it is incorrect.
- Click view to view the script content.
- Do not delete your script as we need it for steps 2 and 3.
Step 3: Create New Clouds
- Click My clouds under MANAGE MY LIBRARY.
- The default cloud created for your script is listed in the table.
- Click Create a new cloud with a list of excluded words.
- Pick your script from the dropdown.
- Give the cloud a unique name e.g. yourscriptname-cloud2
- Enter words you want to EXCLUDE from your cloud, separated by a comma, for example profanities used in your dialog. (The words must exist in the script content otherwise they will have no impact on the cloud generated.)
- Click Generate New Cloud to view the new cloud that excludes the words you entered.
- Click Save generated cloud to save your new cloud to the database.
- Click My clouds under MANAGE MY LIBRARY
- There are now 2 clouds listed in the table.
- Click Create a new cloud with a list of included words.
- Pick your script from the dropdown.
- Give the cloud a unique name e.g. yourscriptname-cloud3
- Enter words you want to exclusively INCLUDE in your cloud, separated by a comma, for example the names of characters in your script. (The words must exist in the script content otherwise no cloud will be generated.)
- Click Generate New Cloud to view the new cloud that ONLY includes the words you entered.
- Click Save generated cloud to save your new cloud to the database.
Step 3: View Clouds
- Click My clouds to view all your clouds. Click and drag the slider to navigate.
- Click Movie clouds to view clouds of released movies in the genre you select.
