Scriptcloud: Getting Started in 3 Easy Steps

Step 1: Get Registered and Upload a Script
  1. Click Register.
  2. Complete and submit the user registration form.
  3. Check the email account you registered for your site login and password.
  4. Login using your login and password.
  5. Click Change Password under MANAGE MY ACCOUNT to change and save your password to something you prefer.
  6. Click Logout tab (in top menu) and Login again to use your new password.
  7. Click Upload new script under GET STARTED (in left menu)
  8. Complete the form and use the browse button to locate a script text (.txt) file on your local PC then click the Upload button to upload your script.
  9. Click My scripts under MANAGE MY LIBRARY
  10. You should see your newly uploaded script listed in the table.
  11. Click edit to change the data you entered about the script if it is incorrect.
  12. Click view to view the script content.
  13. Do not delete your script as we need it for steps 2 and 3.
Step 3: Create New Clouds
  1. Click My clouds under MANAGE MY LIBRARY.
  2. The default cloud created for your script is listed in the table.
  3. Click Create a new cloud with a list of excluded words.
  4. Pick your script from the dropdown.
  5. Give the cloud a unique name e.g. yourscriptname-cloud2
  6. Enter words you want to EXCLUDE from your cloud, separated by a comma, for example profanities used in your dialog. (The words must exist in the script content otherwise they will have no impact on the cloud generated.)
  7. Click Generate New Cloud to view the new cloud that excludes the words you entered.
  8. Click Save generated cloud to save your new cloud to the database.
  9. Click My clouds under MANAGE MY LIBRARY
  10. There are now 2 clouds listed in the table.
  11. Click Create a new cloud with a list of included words.
  12. Pick your script from the dropdown.
  13. Give the cloud a unique name e.g. yourscriptname-cloud3
  14. Enter words you want to exclusively INCLUDE in your cloud, separated by a comma, for example the names of characters in your script. (The words must exist in the script content otherwise no cloud will be generated.)
  15. Click Generate New Cloud to view the new cloud that ONLY includes the words you entered.
  16. Click Save generated cloud to save your new cloud to the database.
Step 3: View Clouds
  1. Click My clouds to view all your clouds. Click and drag the slider to navigate.
  2. Click Movie clouds to view clouds of released movies in the genre you select.
